Welcome to the advert for my lovely 1991 Porsche 944 S2 Coupe.
H271 POF was first registered in March 1991. Since then, the car has covered 159, 500 miles, which is a mere average of less than 5, 000 miles per year from new. The car has enjoyed a current long term ownership of just over 10 years.
Presenting in the popular colour of Guards Red, H271 POF presents well, though there are areas around the body where I would suggest repainting would benefit the vehicle. Chassis wise, the car is mostly solid, though I would encourage the new owner to get the sills done to bring the car back to it’s former glory. This is just an advisory and does not reduce the car structurally or did not prevent the car passing it’s recent MOT. H271 POF rides on a very recently refurbished set of correct and genuine Porsche design 16” wheels. The wheels have been recently refurbished and present immaculately and protected by a set of Nankang tyres with roughly 4-5mm tread left on all four corners.
Moving inside the cabin, H271 POF is a pleasant place to be, boasting a full (and additional optional extra) cream leather interior. The driver and front passenger seat are beginning to show some wear, commensurate with the age and mileage of the car. A common fault on 944’s is a cracking dash, this car does show one crack down the centre line. The trim, carpets, belts, rear seats and door cards all present very well. The previous keeper also fitted a Pioneer head-unit with phone connectivity for telephone and audio.
Mechanically, H271 POF is perfectly sound. The car sailed through a recent MOT (28/ 08/ 2024). The engine pulls very well, and the gearbox shifts seamlessly.
Accompanying the car, is the original book pack, and a folder filled with old invoices/ MOT’s. The car comes with a comprehensive service history, especially early in the car’s life, which is most important as the first 100, 000 miles were covered within the first 5 years of the car’s life, and the car was over-serviced and cared for meticulously during that period.
If you are looking for a fantastic looking, driving and financially appreciating classic car which you can add value to, H271 POF is perfect. It gets attention and comments everywhere it goes and drives superbly well. I recently completed a 400-mile round trip in the car without any trouble.
Reason for sale is that I own over 10 Porsche’s, and this car does not get the use or attention it deserves. It is currently kept in my heated garage with the rest of my collection.
