This is a faithful recreation, but with a hidden modern twist! Under the timeless Gullwing body sits the full tubular space framed platform from a 2001 R170 SLK32 AMG.
I am happy to assist with worldwide shipping, or covered transport within the UK. Part exchanges of any age/ value can be discussed. The donor SLK was imported from Germany in 2020 and it was registered in the UK in July of 2022, retaining its original identity & chassis numbers etc. An MOT test was recently carried out, passing with no advisories which expires 27-10-2025.
Finished to an incredibly high standard , the attention to detail sets it well apart from any homage I have seen before. A huge amount of original parts have been used to ensure a high level of accuracy, including the bumpers/ lights/ grille/ mirrors/ dials and steering wheel to name but a few.
The transformation from a high performance AMG built roadster into the modern classic you see before you took over two years to complete and is the second homage completed by a family of mechanical engineers.
Painted in a stunning, classic White finish with the interior being trimmed in a lovely contrasting red leather. The interior is a work of art with incredible attention to detail, and bar the gear selector, in my opinion almost indistinguishable from a genuine Gullwing helped along by use of original gauges, knobs, foldable steering wheel and more. The full roof structure was removed and a tubular roll cage was fitted ensuring both safety for the occupants and rigidity for the Gullwing doors.
By retaining the sporty SLK32 AMG running gear, you’ll enjoy modern driving dynamics and safety features with features such as air conditioning and power steering which increase the cars usability and fun factor incredibly compared to a 50’s car. Last year I sold its RHD sister car which I understand joined a collection that includes a genuine Gullwing, with the intention of it seeing more of the world than the original!
Up to date safety systems such as power steering, traction control, powerful anti-lock brakes and electronic stability control are all retained helping you to get the most of the supercharged 3. 2 V6 engine. 350hp & 332 lb/ ft is put to the rear wheels through a smooth 5-G Tronic 5 speed automatic gearbox.
