The DB7 Vantage V12 debuted at a pivotal moment in Aston Martin’s history, marking the end of the brand’s reliance on Jaguar-sourced engines and the beginning of an era of bold, self-engineered powerplants. At the heart of this thoroughbred is the 5. 9-litre V12 engine, a symphony of engineering perfection that produces 420 bhp and 400 lb-ft of torque. This potent engine propels the DB7 Vantage from 0-60 mph in just 4. 9 seconds, with a top speed nudging 190 mph. The V12's performance is ferocious yet remarkably refined.
Unlike its predecessor, the six-cylinder DB7, the V12 variant was not merely an upgrade – it was a whole new beast. With its more aggressive stance, wider track, and the deeper rumble of its mighty V12, the DB7 Vantage V12 offered a new level of visceral driving experience.
Built in the same factory as the Jaguar XJ220, the DB7 is the only ‘modern’ Aston Martin to utilise a steel monocoque body. The 5-speed automatic transmission was paired with a fully independent suspension system, large ventilated disc brakes. Aston Martin’s engineers meticulously tuned the suspension to offer a perfect balance of handling precision and comfort, raw power and excitement with consummate Aston Martin GT characteristics.
The design is the work of the legendary Ian Callum, one of the most respected automotive designers in the world. Every line, curve and detail of the DB7 is crafted with passion and precision. The classic Aston Martin grille, the sleek profile, and the unmistakable stance – the DB7 Vantage V12 exudes elegance and power in equal measure. A timeless, true classic that continues to age beautifully.
Inside, the theme of bespoke British craftsmanship continues, with a hand-finished leather interior, wood veneers, soft leather, and polished aluminum accents, classic Aston Martin comfort and refinement.
