1990 Mercedes 260E Automatic (W124)
First registered on 1st August 1990.
Only 6 owners in total over 34 years.
(and in current ownership for 8 years, 8 months).

Mechanically excellent.
The 6 x Cylinder 2. 6 petrol engine (M103) starts first time.
It's recently had new plugs and new leads.
It starts, stops, runs and drives beautifully - very quiet and very smooth (it's a pleasure to drive and puts a lot of newer cars to shame!).
The 4 speed automatic gearbox selects gears precisely and changes perfectly (with switchable "E" / "S" settings).
Specification wise it is very original, even down to the original Phillips radio cassette and wheel trims. The electric aerial is still fitted and works perfectly. It's not been messed around with at all.
Interior:
Blue cloth interior is in really good condition.
There is a some wear to the drivers bolster which I would say is down to age rather than neglect. The carpets are clean, and have had mats fitted from new.
History:
In current ownership for 9 years (8 years, 8 months).
It was SORNed from October 2022 to 2024 due to the ill health of the owner. It was re-MOT'd in September 2024. At the same time some light work was done which included a new Halfords Battery, New spark plugs and a complete set of ignition leads.
There are a lot of old MOT's (dating back to 1998+).
It still has the original Mercedes wallet and book pack with invoices and has a folder of receipts for a lot of the recent work (and parts) which includes services/ maintenance, tyres, exhaust (front/ rear), a new windscreen, water pump and belt, prop-shaft coupling, brake pads / discs etc. (all since 2017).
In 2020, 2 x brand new front wings were supplied and fitted, with associated paintwork, done to a good standard.
Overall, the car is in good condition. What it isn't is immaculate (as I have shown in the pictures) and so it is priced to reflect this. What it is, is an attractive and mechanically sound, unmolested and low mileage 6 cylinder W124 in very presentable condition!
- The blower motor works but needs replacing (fuse removed as the fuse gets hot).
- Rear electric windows not working.
- The locks are stiff / difficult to work, so these would need some attention.
