Standard right-hand drive Mk 1 Capri exported new to Cyprus
We know nothing of the car’s history other than, whilst there, it was rebuilt as one man’s idea of what a Capri-based 500GT Mustang might look like
Fitted with a 2-litre Pinto engine which may or may not have been modified, coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox
Now finished in Orange with silver 'speed stripes' over black leather seats with black matching carpets throughout and an original US dished wood-rim steering wheel along with a ‘Cobra’ gear knob and ‘Texas’ number plates
Returned to the UK in 2017 and is now UK-registered
Part of a private collection for the past 8 years, and never used on the road so may require some recommissioning before regular use
Supplied with photographic evidence of the rebuild and UK paperwork
Perhaps not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’ but certainly a ‘head turner’
