Description
MORRIS MINOR SERIES11 SPLIT WINDSCREEN 1953 4DOOR DELUXE IN GREEN. In very decent, largely unrestored condition with good original leather trimmed interior. Only 54, 000 miles and full history known although not documented. The original owners were 2 sisters who kept the car until 2007. It had been garaged for some years by then and a neighbour acquired and re-commissioned the car which passed a new MOT the following year. He kept the car for several years but it was seldom taken out of the garage and that has been the case ever since - the mileage only rising 750 miles in the last 16 years!
It is of course exempt from MOT and road tax but we have just replaced the front brake cylinders, flexible hoses and front eyebolt bushes and all 5 tyres were new just before we purchased the car so we have now been granted a new advisory free 12 months MOT until November 2025.
At some time a more recent 948cc engine has been fitted and the larger brakes from a late Minor 1000 have also been installed. In recent times a new wiring loom has been fitted and a reconditioned gearbox was a fairly recent investment. We have just changed the engine oil and filter.
The car retains its original registration number which has some value and no welding repairs have ever been required to the underbody.
This is not a restored car but a well maintained and largely original example now more than 70 years old and seeking a new owner to look after, use and enjoy the car for the next stage of its life.
