Rare, 1996 Ford Escort RS2000 4x4…
According to the website “ how many left?” There are two registered on the road with around 30 currently off the road sorned making this one of the rarest Fords around.
In a wonderful dark green metallic paint shade “Alberto” not mallard green with the wonderful 1990s Recaro interior….
Has a long mot test in place and has covered 94000 miles.
For a 28-year-old car, it’s in good condition both inside and out with some minor imperfections as you should probably expect, and under no circumstances am I claiming that this is a concours show winner…. It’s very very presentable and ready to take to the shows, I don’t think you’ll find another one at your local show.
Drives fantastically and is pretty nippy for an old girl.
There is some early history with the car, handbook and the original wallet, I have recently carried out suspension works to the front and given it and oil change….. the brakes are excellent and the clutch is strong.
Inside the sunroof fabric has come away and needs re-sticking, the dashboard is excellent with no distortions or cracks.
Outside, there is a crack in the front splitter and there are a couple of blemishes and stone chips around the car inkeeping with 28 years of use….
In 2021 the car was subject to an insurance claim (cat N) which was a wing, front bumper and headlight, looks to have been repaired to a very good standard as you can see in the photographs.
Please do examine the photographs as they form an important part of the advert….. I suppose the best thing to do is come and have a look, I know it’s a bit old-fashioned but normally the best way to do it.

I might take another old British car in part payment if it helps the sale also I’m quite interested in classic commercials..
There is currently one for sale on car and classic which has done more miles and is in the more common aubergine and is not a 4x4 for £14, 995…..
