Description
Chevrolet wanted to get away from the image of building boring cars. The EX-122 exhibition model was developed in 1952 and the response from the public was so overwhelming that the Corvette model was built from 1953, initially only as a roadster. The body was made of fibreglass, which was sensational at the time. The vehicles of the first years of production had a rather weak six-cylinder engine, but from 1955 they were fitted with the much more powerful V8 engines. This is how the Corvette became simply the American sports car, a cult car to this day.
Our Chevrolet Corvette C1 Convertible has been in Germany since 1996 and there have been extensive service invoices since then. It has been with the current owner and registered in Germany since 2008. It is very well maintained and ready for immediate use. A C1 Corvette with the marvellous V8 engine is classic and always in demand, especially with the four-speed manual gearbox like our classic car has.
