New Imperial was a British motorcycle manufacturer in Birmingham. New Imperial made innovative motorcycles that employed unit construction and sprung heel frames long before they became commonplace, and were successful in competition. The 1920s were a financially successful decade, enabling the innovations of the 1930s that fought decline.
New Imperial were always a very innovative company, and their unit-construction machines, sometimes with Bentley & Draper sprung frames, were about twenty years ahead of their time.
By the mid-twenties, New Imperial were producing around 300 machines per month. The Company continued to prosper and grow until the depression years of the early 1930s.
This New Imperial motorcycle was made on 27th February 1937 and was one of a batch of 25 Model 110's made on that day. In 1937 there were 227 Model 110 sold and in 1938 there were 133 sold. In the New Imperial Owners Association (NIOA) we know of 20 surviving Model 110's owned by our members.
This 500cc OHV New Imperial speciem is a very sporty road tourer which allow to the owner to have a mximal fun by riding. Sound and power dominate this attractive vintagebike.
