Description
The term iconic is used nowadays to describe a whole plethora of cars, some of which arguably haven't earned that status. But this MINI, without a doubt, fully deserves the praise.
In 1959, a small team led by Sir Alec Issigonis launched the original MINI. A small, economical car with a front-wheel drive transverse engine, which helped maximize space to accommodate four people.
The 1275 GT model is easily recognized by its squarer front facelift, courtesy of stylist Roy Haynes. This model was produced from 1969 to 1980 and was widely used in competition, with excellent results both in rallies and circuits.
This example was acquired new in England by the first owner, a Portuguese gentleman who imported it in 1975 into Portugal. It is configured in a very appealing color, Bronze Yellow, with the famous side stripes and is 100% original, having never been restored!
It shows 94, 000 km on the odometer which we believe to be real given the good general condition. Comes with owner's manual, original old documents from England and Portugal and certificate of historical interest from the Automóvel Clube de Portugal.
