Description
There was a time when Panther motorcycles were practically synonymous with sidecars - you might well see a sidecar without a ‘big cat’ attached but rarely the other way around. In fact, Phelon & Moore, the Yorkshire-based company who produced the bike, once estimated that ninety-percent of all 594cc Model 100s were destined for three-wheeled harness. As for its successor, the last-of-the-line 645cc Model 120, all bikes were supplied with sidecar gearing and sidecar fork-trail as standard.
This 1965 Panther 120 with Watsonian Sidecar has been part of a private collection for a number of years. It is lovely oily rag condition and ripe for some recommissioning.
As far as we can see it is complete and in one piece and the engine turns over and has compression.
The sidecar is in very good order inside and out.
Bike comes with some history/ paperwork and the current V5 is present.
