1969 LOTUS ELAN S4 CONVERTIBLE
Very Rare Black Badge Edition - One owner and only 27, 700 miles
This very rare Lotus Elan is one of a limited number of Lotus Cars badged black to commemorate the tragic death of Colin Chapmans racing driver and very good friend Jim Clarke who was killed in a tragic accident at Hockenheim in April 1968 driving a Lotus Type 48.
The cars had Black Badges and a Steering Wheel bearing Colin Chapmans signature with a black badge. This one owner car has only covered a mere 27, 000 miles after only being on the road until 1991 when its owner purchased a new Lotus M100 Elan and kept this one until he sadly passed away last year.

- Engine rebuild.
- New clutch.
- Brakes rebuilt.
- Bare shell repainted in its original French Blue.
- Refurbished wheels new tyres.
- Suspension stripped and rebuilt including new shock absorbers.
- Chassis cleaned and painted no rust.
The interior is totally original and a testimony of how well the car was looked after. Comes with its original handbook, service book and original registration document last MOT dated 1991 when it was last on the road.
