Ford Popular Deluxe -1961 -2 door Coupe. The ever popular ford populars history is well documented and today is a superb value for money classic with nice straight examples becoming harder and harder to find. Easy Classic to tinker with yourself with easily obtained parts.
This lovely well cared for example has been through an extensive restoration which was finished 10 years ago and still polishes up a real treat.
Completely restored, inside and out..
- Bodywork and paintwork remain in great condition since the restoration.
The underside has been treated with waxoyl.
- Chrome is all in good order and door handles were replaced during the restoration.
- White walled tyres which are good , there is also the original set of steels with chrome trims (except One ) with tyres which will come with the car
- Interior was fully trimmed, with yellow piping on the seats and carpets.
- Everything works inside with no known problems. There is the addition of an aftermarket oil pressure and temperature gauges .
- New headlining during the restoration.
The engine runs fine and “ starts on the button” every time .
- Engine is the original and was rebuilt by a previous owner . The mileage reads correctly since then as it was reset to 0 at this time.
- Electronic ignition conversion.
- Extensive mechanical restoration with lots of parts replaced and the car remains in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition.
Out on the road the car drives very well with no issues.
