Description
This lovely Mexico Brown Rover P6 2200 TC is strong, reliable, very usable classic. Its recent owner drove the car faultlessly from Grantham, Lincolnshire to North Yorkshire to show us the car. We agreed to take the Rover in part exchange, and the cars last owner then drove the car back down the A1 to Grantham ahead of us collecting the car some weeks later. It’s a good strong driver, its mileage of 86000 is very likely to be correct when looking at the very original condition of the car.
Clearly re-painted at some stage, the Rover has a good finish and importantly the bodywork and underside are in structurally excellent condition. Clearly the Rover has led a fairly sheltered life and its very honest, original trim most certainly reflects that. The 2200 twin carb engine performs brilliantly, gear changes are smooth and the car pulls up straight and handles very well. This is an ideal entry level, very usable classic saloon that doesn't require any major expenditure.
KPV 646P is a very period looking car and is well known in P6 Club circles having been enjoyed on the rally and event scene. The car has covered around 6000 miles in the past 20 years, a garaged, well looked after weekend car that has a real charm with its high level of originality.
