Few classic Ferraris evoke a level of intense enthusiasm as the 250 GTO. Conceived by the company to compete in Group 3 GT racing, it featured a modified variant of the chassis used in the 250 GT SWB and the 30. L Tipo 168/ 62 V12 used in the 250 Testa Rossa. Debuting at the 1962 iteration of the 12 Hours of Sebring where the car finished second overall despite competing against the much quicker prototypes, the 250 GTO won the International Championship in their class for 1962-1964, solidifying its legacy in Ferrari's long-running motorsport history.

With only 36 250 GTOs produced in total and a lasting legacy, the car's value rose stratospherically in the late 1970s. Today, 250 GTOs routinely fetch over $50 million - one sold privately in 2018 was reported to have netted over $70 million. Naturally, with such small production and such high value, it is no wonder that several companies have produced recreations of the model. One of the higher-quality and best-known shops was McBurnie Coachcraft from California. Using a custom fiberglass body and a chassis/ engine from a donor Nissan 240Z, they were able to craft a vehicle sharing the style and sound of a 250 GTO at a much lower cost than an original. Just as with their 356 GTS/ 4 'Daytona' replica as seen in "Miami Vice", their 250 GTO tributes have gone on to feature in numerous films/ television shows.

The incredible 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO Tribute featured here is finished in stunning Rosso Corsa (Red) over a Nero (Black) interior. This magnificent recreation was built by McBurnie Coachcraft who fitted it with Weber carburetors, a Ferrari-labelled valve cover, custom exhaust tuned for to replicate the original GTO's sound, Ferrari emblems, and fuel filler cap. Built at an astronomical cost for the movie industry, this GTO has been in many films; most recently, "Ford vs Ferrari". With original GTOs now selling for as much as $70 million, this is an example that can be driven and enjoyed without the concerns of doing so in an original. Just released from a prominent collection, we are proud to offer this spectacular tribute to the Ferrari 250 GTO to the most sophisticated collector, investor, enthusiast who wants to drive and enjoy a car with the appearance of one of the world's most valuable vehicles at a fraction of the cost.
