Description
The Mini doesn't really need much explanation, because everyone knows it. The icon from Birmingham was known by many names during its 40 years of production: Austin, Morris, Innocenti, but everyone is familiar with the name Mini, which became an independent brand in 1969. For a car that hardly changed over its entire construction period, the range of variations was nevertheless colourful. Whether Cooper S for the racetrack, estate car for the family or panel van for suppliers, there was something for everyone. But the concept was always the same: a transversely mounted four-cylinder engine on the front axle with an integrated gearbox provided the drive. Thanks to the low weight and short wheelbase, handling was also very easy and sporty. With the roof line not sloping down towards the rear, passengers in the rear also had more space than in other significantly larger 4-seaters.
This Mini Van is one of the rare van bodies. The longer chassis of the Traveller was used for this car. In England in particular, this model was a very popular alternative to the everyday car, as vans did not have to be taxed. This car has undergone extensive restoration and has since been kept in a collector's collection. Visually and mechanically, the car is in excellent condition. Equipped with the 1. 0 litre engine, the car is still in the delivery specification. A real eye-catcher, from which you can also derive practical benefits, as over 300 kg can be loaded. Quite a lot for a car with a 3-digit kerb weight. A rare and lovingly maintained example of an absolute icon. Perfect as an advertising medium or, of course, as a collector's or fun object. The Mini is being sold with a veteran's registration.
