This is a genuine factory Turbo 280ZX model which was was sold exclusively in the US market between 1981 and 1984 and for one year only (1984) in Germany. I imported this car from California in 2017.
Power comes from the iconic Datsun L28 series 6 cylinder 2. 8 litre engine and even in this de-tuned original factory condition (running a very conservative factory turbo boost of just 7psi) it gives 180bhp and a 0-60 time of just 7. 0 secs.
It has been used as one of my personal classics over the last few years and has completed over 6000 miles over that time in complete comfort and reliability on European trips to Belgium France, Spain and Portugal. Only last week I drove it from Lisbon back to the UK.
It is completely original throughout with a verified mileage of just 54000 with the original paint, rust free original bodywork, mechanicals and interior reflecting this low mileage being in superb condition.
Never restored, never welded and never any rust - the perfect combination and just how the best classic cars are always presented. These cars are very difficult to find in this condition and Japanese cars of the 1980’s are becoming incredibly sought after with prices going up even in the soft(er) classic car market of today.
This car will appeal to the discerning collector looking for one of the best examples of this model left anywhere in the world.
