Please note our Triumph stock has undergone extensive restoration to high standards and cannot be compared to poor quality examples advertised cheaply elsewhere, which will require vast amounts of expenditure.
Following on from the highly successful and stunningly good-looking Tr4 the fuel-injected Tr5 was only in production for 13 months before the mass-produced Tr6 replaced it.
Total UK cars built were around 1100 units so they have become highly sought-after and rare collector’s items during the past few years.
This lovely Royal blue example was UK spec built RHD and is a genuine TR5 with both soft and hard Surrey tops
A complete body-off restoration was completed around 2006 and the quality of workmanship was clearly very high as she still presents beautifully today having cornered around 10, 000 miles since.
The brief was to produce an upgraded TR5 utilising the original parts as much as possible but with a quicker engine and gearbox, and more reliable.
The engine was rebuilt with an unleaded ported head high lift cam and Revington fuel injection.

These cars are great drivers cars and this one with nearly 165 bhp and 900 kgs they are quick and the overdrive really provides flexible and comfortable cruising speeds, enabling long trips to be covered with ease.
On the road, this one is a powerful driver, very well set up with a great soundtrack from the exhaust and abundant power from the engine.
Probably the best-driving TR5 I have sold with all the traditional quirks engineered out.
