Description
In British Racing Green with a black interior.
This beautiful 1959 Healey was the subect of a fully documented restoration in 2004/ 05 having returned from the US in 2004, and remains in excellent order throughout.
The bodywork is virtually blemish free and the panel fit is excellent. The paintwork is smooth and even which is complemented with very good chromework. Inside the seats, carpets and trim show little wear and everything fits nicely and works properly. The hood and sidescreens are unmarked and fit beautifully and the painted wire wheels are virtually unmarked.
Underneath the colour is BRG and the suspension and running gear are still painted black and look very smart. This Big Healey looks superb.
The specification of the car includes a four speed gearbox with overdrive, twin carburettors, an unleaded cylinder head, electronic ignition, an electric engine fan and halogen headlights as well as an alloy louvred bonnet with leather straps. There is also a Ctek battery battery conditioner wired in and an Austin Healey cover in green.
One family have owned the 3000 since 2013 and they have been meticulous with their maintenance of the car, using AH specialists reguarly, including a thorough going over and new tyres all round in 2023 for a trip to Le Mans. The car has been serviced and greased again since then.
In excellent conditon throughout with just a little mellowing since the rebuild, this 3000 not only looks superb, but also sounds lovely and drives beautifully. It is ready for use.
A fine Austin Healey.
