Vehicle history:
The Jaguar XK 120 DHC (Drop Head Coupé) had a six-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 3442 cc and 160 bhp. It drove the rear wheels via a four-speed gearbox with center shift. The engine helped the attractive convertible reach a top speed of 200 km/ h. This was the first Jaguar engine with a double overhead camshaft, a design that had previously only been attempted in small series for hand-assembled engines. Nevertheless, Jaguar immediately succeeded in creating a masterpiece of reliability and performance, which was used in the manufacturer's vehicles until 1992 and in military vehicles beyond this period.
This Jaguar was delivered to the USA in 1953. The car was extensively restored in Europe a few years ago. In the course of the restoration, a 3. 8-liter engine was installed, which gives the vehicle outstanding driving performance. The original matching number engine block is present. This XK 120 is in perfect condition and ready for the next drive.
