Thank you for taking the time to look at the listing for my 2004 04 Alfa Romeo 156 JTDm. It's the 2. 4 five cylinder 175bhp with a 6 speed manual gearbox.

I've owned this vehicle for just over 5 years and it's been one if the best cars I've owned. It's quick, economical, sounds good, and above all, pretty unique. I think there are only a handful of these left on the roads
Being the 2. 4 multi jet diesel it returns over 50mpg and the torque is really good. Gearing suits this car very well and it's an entertaining drive, no wonder it was European car if the year all those moons ago.
All season premium tyres are fairly recent and have plenty of life in them
It's got Momo grey leather seats which although have some wear consistent with age, they're actually pretty tidy in my opinion.
During my ownership I've replaced;
Near side drive shaft assembly
Front shocks
Front springs
Top arms
Upgraded the anti roll bar bushes (done by Autolusso)
Fuel heater
Intake pipe
Upgraded the hose assy from the air box
Refreshed the four main stereo speakers
Had the aircon re-gassed (it's cold but the 156 isn't the best system!)
5x glow plugs
Battery
Air mass meter
MAP sensor
Throttle body (second hand)
Recent oil, oil filter and air filter change
Underside was sprayed with Dinitrol a couple of years ago by a professional, although the under tray has been removed since then so the front subframe could possibly do with a treatment
Is due a cambelt and aux belt, for which I already have and will include in the sale if the asking price is met.
Reluctant sale, it's just not suitable for me anymore as need nore load carrying space and something that can take the country roads!
Fair amount of history, bills and receipts bit for the past couple of oil changes I have done it myself as found garages would fail to do up the oil filter properly resulting in a leak, so did it myself.
This is in daily use so the mileage will go up

Included Alfa diagnostic cables (red, yellow and green)
Drives very well.... cosmetically it's a 20 plus year old car in daily use so has marks, dents, chips and surface corrosion in line with this.
Long MOT though so cheap motoring with a bit of style
