Description
A beautiful design, the Panhard 24 is a compact two-door coupé automobile produced between 1964 and 1967 by French manufacturer Panhard. It was powered by an 850 front-mounted air-cooled two-cylinder boxer motor and this combined with its slippery shape offered great performance. In 1965, a lengthened Panhard 24 was launched and promoted. This 1965 example is believed to have covered a mere 27, 000 kms from new having been stored for many years. In 2011 the Panhard was transported from Holland to Calais where its one and only U. K. owner took delivery, driving the car back to Hampshire. Upon inspection, he found the Panhard to be in excellent condition requiring just a new exhaust, headlining and a service. Since then it has proved to be totally reliable transport, attending numerous car meets and shows with the Panhard Drivers club, who also offer excellent spares help. Being a later produced 24 it features the more powerful engine option and disc brakes all round.
