By the mid-1990s, after a notable uptick in sales, Bentley and Rolls-Royce were going through a bit of renaissance and were ready to rework their respective lineups which had been initially introduced in 1980. With ever-more stringent safety and emissions standards, it was determined that the companies would utilize motors built by BMW - Rolls-Royce's new Silver Seraph was to receive a 5. 4L V12 while the sportier Bentley Arnage was equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4. 4L V8. Unfortunately, when the two models were announced in 1998, the companies were embroiled in a takeover battle undertaken between BMW and Volkswagen. In the end, the two British companies were split between their new German owners - Rolls-Royce to BMW, Bentley to Volkswagen.

Naturally, this required a number of adjustments to production, especially when buyers of the initial BMW-powered Arnages requested more power. Bentley's answer was to heavily revise the iconic 6. 75L V8 and add it to the lineup in 1999 as the "Red Label". The BMW-powered variant became known as the "Green Label", though this was only offered for a few years as most buyers preferred the much higher torque output of the larger V8. In addition, the body shells were made stiffer and larger brakes were offered in addition to extra standard features (such as navigation) and increased legroom thanks to redesigned seats. In all, only a few thousand Arnages were produced by the end of production in 2010.

The exquisite 2001 Bentley Arnage Red Label Sedan featured here is finished in gorgeous Royal Blue Pearl over a Magnolia full leather interior surrounded by magnificent Burl Walnut woodwork throughout. This spectacular motorcar was ordered with an extensive array of amenities such as a power sunroof, heated power front seats with memory, veneered picnic tables, navigation, and power rear seats. Having been only driven sparingly as proven by its 9, 602 miles and meticulously maintained, this exceptional Bentley is now ready for its next caretaker. Just released from a respected Palm Springs collection, we are proud to offer this extremely low-mile, superior condition Arnage Red Label to the most particular collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best!
