Description
British sold Esprit S3. Bought by a Dutch member of the Lotus Club Holland in 1993 and taken back to The Netherlands. The car was than sold on to another Lotus Club member that I, also a Lotus Club member, bought the car from in 2015.
Finished in Jupiter red with a full blue leather interior, the car is a striking combination.
Mechanically in top condition, always being meticulously maintained. In my time the car has always been very well maintained by the well known established Dutch Lotus Importer Van der Kooi Sportscars. No expenses spared i. e. new windscreen, doorseals preventively renewed etc.
The only area's needing attention are the inside of the drivers seat (leather cracked in the corner as is often seen with these seats), the leather of the gear lever gaiter needs to be replaced and at a corner of the dashboard the leather covering lets loose a little bit.
Finally, as you can see, the headlining is, considering the age, in original but reasonable good nick. Still being completely original I didn't want to replace it. Due to deteriorating health I will - unfortunately - have to part with this car. Every time I drive the car, within a few hundred meters I wear a very big grin because, having driven all kinds of classic or pedigree motors, nothing compares to the roadholding of a Lotus Esprit and no other car gives you so much feedback while driving.
This is a rare oppotunity to find a lovingly maintained original Esprit in very, very good condition, but "dans son jus".
