While importing a S3 E-type from Southern California the owner was told about a "Rust Free" Interceptor, which was in storage near by. After inspection and much wrangling with the reluctant owner, he managed to secure the car. True enough, on arrival the car was actually Rust Free!!! None of the usual Interceptor rot. That was back in 2022 and the start of its comprehensive restoration by South Coast Vehicle Restorations in Hampshire. As it says in the introduction, the car required zero welding and zero repair panels during restoration. The motor car is finished in Flag red with cream interior and tan vinyl roof. Suspension is via new Spax adjustable shocks, new coil springs and poly bushed front wishbones. A photographic record has been kept, alongside the myriad of invoices from Appleyard, Robey, Jensen Services, KD Jensen (USA), Hauser Racing etc, etc. The decision to go the Fuel Injection route was made early on. This involved major works, including tank removal and installation of complete fuel system, fuel return and In-Line injection pump. The FiTech fuel injection results in better starting and improved fuel economy and comes complete with hand held tuning module. The original front seats were modified and rebuilt by West Midlands Leather Works. NOTE! This vehicle is not on site so viewing strictly by appointment.
