Description
When announced, the MG Magnette was very unique in the market place, as a mid sized sporting saloon were as yet not fashionable. Designed by Gerald Palmer of Jowett Javelin and Riley Pathfinder fame, the Magnette first appeared in 1953, although sales did not commence until 1954. Today there is much to commend them to Classic car buyers, not least of all is the fact that when you arrive at a show in one, the chances are you will have the only MG Magnette present.
The highly presentable ZB example we offer here was first registered on the 15th of April 1958 to a gentleman who lived in Bourton on the Water, Gloucesteshire. The Magnette comes with an extensive history file, which includes old MOT certificates going back to 1985, original buff log book, a stack of invoices for parts and servicing over recent years totaling over £5000. The car was treated to a glass out repaint in 2016. Red leather interior.
