She was last MOT'ed in September 2017 (no advisories) with 29352 miles, she has been run tax exempt for the past 7 years and has covered just 4788 miles in that time. She can be supplied with or without a fresh MOT on purchase.
The car shows 3 former keepers, 2 of which are just within a few miles of our business here in Hampshire. Mr Gillmullin purchased the car in May 1973 then we can see a Mr Johnson then acquired her in May 1980 and then the car was sold to a local gent called Mr Gibbs in April 2005 and 549 GYP changed hands in March 2018 when it was sold to our customer.

Some background:
549 GYP does come with some fascinating old history, repair and servicing invoices from the very early 1970's and an invoice for the car changing hands in May 1973 for £740 (which funnily enough was the year of the Opec oil crisis and it is well documented that soaring oil prices had a direct effect on the value of cars such as E Type Jaguars!) - the really interesting find in the history file is a 'XKE data' heritage report from 2005 which details that this car had been converted from a fixed head coupe to a roadster by ex Jaguar staff between 1980 and 1993, old MOT's show that the car had covered around 50k miles prior to the conversion, then the odometer was zeroed at the point (so the true overall mileage of this car is circa 68k.
Up to date background:
549 GYP presents in excellent present day condition, the Martin Robey shell is excellent and the mechanics are in fine oder and the car drives especially well. The only non-standard features of the car that we have spotted are as follows:

The E Type benefits from a obvious very high quality restoration, a thorough inspection on one of our vehicle ramps shall confirm this. The British racing green paintwork is simply beautiful, the hood looks 'as new' too, the tan leather interior is series 1 correct, however the driving seat would ideally be recovered... but the natural part worn patina does rather the suit the car, the carpet set is passable... but not 'as new'.
The history folder does document a specced of several thousands of pounds in recent times and the bulk of this works has been carried out by a very well respected local classic Jaguar specialist (Castle Classics Jaguar of North Hampshire). Obviously the history file is available for inspection by a prospective purchaser.
This early Jaguar does represent excellent value when you consider the strength of series one prices, especially a roadster. Obviously the car starting life as a fixed head coupe and later being converted to a roadster does have a negative bearing on the price, therefore this particular superb example of possibly one the worlds finest ever cars does represent excellent value and will no doubt delight her new owner.
