Description
MGB GT 1970 Tartan Red Wire Wheels EPAS Overdrive.
Delighted to have back in stock this 1970 MGB GT. Sold by myself twice before and both times without getting as far as an advert. 1970 spec British Leyland era car rebuilt as a 1969 Abingdon era MGB with earlier lights grille badges etc
First came to us from a customer who also had a fantastic MGA which we sold through Car and Classic. This MGB had been re-shelled into an American import bodyshell in the mid 2000s, to an ok standard by a modern car garage. Car had received a MGOC Ivor Serle rebuilt engine, a very good retrimmed interior and was a competent ok MGB GT.
I purchased the car around 2010 and proceeded to improve the car in key areas. The engine bay was stripped and repainted with all key components reconditioned and replated. Wheels were refinished and some external paintwork was carried out. Sold to a long standing customer further improvements were completed mainly centring on Servo assisted brakes and a reconditioned dashboard.
Back in stock again the car finally received a bare metal repaint by ourselves to match the quality of the engine bay. The overall condition of the import bodyshell was fully exposed and was very impressive.
Sold again through the workshop to another top customer Electric power steering was added along with other small detail touches.
The car is finally as you see it now. Paint and panel fit is excellent. The Interior is very nice indeed with a nice patina to seats and liners. Mechanically the car is top draw and has just returned from an unexpected round trip to Greece. The car covered 2980 miles without missing a beat and returned 31 mpg.
The price of this vehicle is £16495. 00
