Description
The Triumph TR series consists of a series of sports cars, built by the Standard Motor Company from Coventry, England.
"TR" stands for Triumph Roadster. The series consists of eight models that, from the TR 1 to the TR 6, are a further development of the previous model.
The TR 250
However, the six-cylinder engine with fuel injection soon no longer met the increasingly strict American emission requirements of that time and it was decided to market the car there with a tempered engine with sealed Stromberg carburetors. The car was externally almost identical to the TR 5 but was recognizable by the clear silver lines over the bonnet. Only 2, 947 TR 5s were built up to 1968 and 8, 484 units of the TR 250. It is understandable that this model, as well as the TR 5, are the most sought-after and most expensive TRs on the classic car market today, due to their small production numbers.
This TR 250 presented here comes from the USA and was driven there until 1996. Then the current owner bought the car and has always driven the TR with great pleasure.
This car is still completely original and has only driven 29, 233 miles and still runs fine. The owner has driven a number of rallies and has done all the maintenance himself because he was a chief mechanic at a Leyland garage. The car is still in perfect condition with us in the company and drives fantastically.
The interior still looks beautiful and the dashboard still has the shine it once had. Under the hood is the 6-cylinder, 2. 5 L engine that runs nicely and certainly does not drive aggressively. A beautiful Triumph for the lover of a nice engine sound and sufficient power.
