Description
Land Rover Series 3 88" Lightweight Restoration Project 1983
1 Previous Owner. This vehicle was demobbed in 1993 and sold by P A Blanchard to the only civilian owner since leaving the military. He used the car regularly in the 90's some years doing 10, 000 miles per year and even went on a trip to France hence the GB sticker on the back. It has then been dry stored in his garage since 2001 and so hasn't ran since then. Fuel tank had all been drained and are spotless inside. It will make a nice project to recommission.
Nice original car with a 2. 25 petrol engine, fairey overdrive and freewheeling hubs. Lots of paperwork in the history file, including the original invoice from Blanchards, lots of mots and tax discs.
Unique it has genuine heated front windscreen glass which the previous owner fitted.
It will require some welding, a new rear crossmember, some outriggers but the chassis is definitely saveable. The bulkhead has holes on both sides in the triangle side panels, where they all go and a couple in the footwells but nothing too serious.
It will want all the brakes renewing, wiring going through, engine recommissioning. A worthwhile project and a very complete original vehicle with a nice history.
