We are very pleased to offer an awesome 2003 Mini Cooper S R53. Finished in gleaming Chilli red and boasting the sought after fully certified John Cooper Works tuning kit boosting the power from 163BHP to a very rapid 210BHP. If you are after for one of these as an appreciating Classic or just want a good one then this maybe the one for you. Please do not confuse this example for some that have had a hard life, this one has excellent provenance and a full service history. It has a fully stamped service book, every MOT certificate, years of service receipts including thousands recently spent, original handbooks and three keys. It also has its original bill of sale. I can only describe its condition as fantastic and it belies its now 21 year vintage. We have taken this JCW in part exchange and I have really enjoyed driving it as I am sure its lucky new owner will.
On the road is where the fun starts. The 1. 6 litre Supercharged engine is an absolute peach and very smooth and works well with the R53's finely balanced chassis. Handling is very precise, this is a very easy car to drive and push through the twisty stuff. Put your foot down and the Supercharger howls all the way round the rev band offering progressive power that will instantly make you smile. The John Cooper Works Kit consists of a smaller Supercharger pully, gas flowed and ported cylinder head and an uprated exhaust, this one is numbered S10639 and has the certificate from John Cooper Garages. Having driven both the JCW and the standard S the difference is night and day and you are left wanting to keep on driving.
The interior is all original and as it left the factory. Half leather seats, brushed aluminium dash and the original CD player. It still has its original floor matts, a real testament to a cared for life. The boot area is also untouched.
This Cooper S has excellent paintwork, I am yet to find a mark or blemish and given its age is quite remarkable. It has been used recently for shows and it would sit proudly on any display stand. The paint has just been ceramic coated and the wheels refurbed. It benefits from much recent expenditure and has a full no advisory MOT. Provenance and quality are key ingredients when buying one of these rare machines and this one has both.
