Description
Congratulations, you've found it: The special one for a connoisseur! If a Jaguar was too ordinary for you, opt for a Daimler - purveyor to the British royal family - because the Queen also drove a Double Six (herself!). This masterpiece of British engineering redefined luxury and set new standards for automotive excellence. It is the last of its kind, where emotion takes precedence over refinement.
A mixture of British understatement (design language) and the ultimate in chunkiness (engine and equipment), its appearance (body shape) is unmistakable for everyone: a style icon, which was only subtly reworked by Pininfarina in the Series III. A symphony of majestic 12 cylinders "purrs" beneath the elegant bodywork! This is still the quietest and smoothest engine ever built and a masterpiece in its own right. (Evil tongues claim: 6 or 8 cylinders are for beginners!) The interior: a gentlemen's club on wheels! Noble, genuine(!) Burr walnut wood as far as the eye can see and dignified Conolli leather (individual rear seats!), whose "creaking" is the loudest thing in the interior and is reminiscent of a British Chesterfield sofa. With unrivalled elegance and unsurpassed performance (295 hp), the Daimler Double Six was the fastest saloon of its time (225 km/ h).
It glides over the roads like a monarch who rules his domain while the world outside passes by outside the windows. Treat yourself to the pleasure that combines luxury and power to perfection. Step into the world of the Daimler Double Six and experience the aristocracy of the road like never before. This Daimler Double Six from 1991 is one of the last - German first delivery (NOT a US vehicle with the unsightly position lights) and with German H-approval! The best Jaguar offered at the time, with the reliable 5. 3 litre H. E. V12 engine and fuel injection system.
The Daimler has been driven long distances and the engine purrs like a kitten - if you can hear it at all. For a classic retro style, it stands on chic Jaguar steel rims with chrome covers (Vanden Plas) "Black Beauty", as it is not only black on the outside, but also on the inside with black leather and individual rear seats. Even the headliner is covered in black by the upholsterer. The typical issue with these vehicles: "rust" - is NOT a problem! Wheel arches, sills and windscreen frames are rust-free. Last repairs carried out: - Repair of the cruise control (vacuum bellows was renewed!) (November 2023) - Water cooler completely renewed (December 2023) - Air conditioning condenser (new part - sits in front of the water cooler) renewed (December 2023) Due to the occasion, I only respond to serious enquiries with a telephone number where you can talk afterwards!
