Description

With only 830 vehicles built, the 220 SE Ponton Coupé is one of the rarest vehicles in post-war Mercedes production. This example was delivered in 1959 to Max Hoffmann, the legendary Mercedes importer in New York, and delivered to the famous author Majorie Moore.

Before a German professor of medicine living in Switzerland took over the car, it was kept in a Danish museum.

With the desire to give the car a new lease of life, the owner handed it over to Mercedes Benz Classic Autohaus Hahn for a complete restoration. At a cost of 295, 000 euros, the car was completely restored and rebuilt down to the smallest detail between 2016 and 2020.

The vehicle corresponds to the original in every detail and is ready for all kinds of classic car concours and presentations.

The smooth 6-cylinder engine moves the occupants comfortably and wrapped in high-quality leather to the desired location.

For more details, a detailed expert report is available for inspection. The vehicle is EU-taxed.
