1978 Ford Escort MK2 1. 3 Project Car. RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration done and UK reg applied for. Has Sport decals fitted but its only a 1300 basic model. It will need work to get it on the road.
Body - Standard MK2 Escort Shell. Good strut tops, inner wings, rear arches but lips have been rolled up, rear floor is good. Will need work on front floor pans, outer floors from chassis to sill and boot wells. There are no holes but these bits have been repaired badly in the past. Looks like its had a bigger engine in it at some stage as gearstick hole has also been messed with and will need putting right. Paintwork is ok. Panel gaps on passenger side wing to door not the best and will need looking at.
Mechanics - 1300 sitting in the bay but not all wired and piped up. Looks like its had a pinto ion it from looking at the wiring and radiator hoses. We have not had it started or driven. Will need going through mechanically from front to back.
Interior - All there but scruffy and probably all needs replaced.
Wheels - Standard Steels with an assortment of guff tyres
If you want a project thats a half decent starting point them this might fit the bill. It wont be on the road in a weekend as it really needs pulled apart and start again.
