Description
This Mini Cooper Sportspack was originally supplied by SMC Rover on 29th October 1998 and is presented in rare Nightfire Red with a white roof and body decals, over a cream leather-trimmed interior. Under the bonnet resides a 1275cc multi-point injection engine producing around 62bhp through a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a bank of four Rallye-style fog and spot lamps, 13” Sportspack alloy wheels, a full-length electric sunroof, a burr walnut dash and a three-clock binnacle with magnolia-faced dials.
This example has covered approximately 54, 998 miles and has been owned by a classic car enthusiast for the past eleven years. During their time of ownership they accrued just 6, 000 miles and ensured that the car was garage stored when not in use. Notably, the MOT history shows no corrosion issues in relation to the sills, subframes or undercarriage.
The Mini is in superb condition and is ready to be enjoyed. It is highly original and has clearly been very well maintained and preserved. The Nightfire Red paintwork has a deep lustre with even finish throughout and the body panels appear flush and straight. The glass, chrome and trim are all in excellent condition, whilst the rubbers have retained their rich black colour. The original factory ‘body’ number is present on the slam panel as well as the factory spot welds on the inner wings. The correct vented sills are present both sides and the correct gaps are present in between the wings and scuttle panel. The chassis number is correctly etched into the front and rear screens. All four Sportspack alloy wheels appear in good condition. The cabin is in impressive, clean condition and the electric sunroof is in fine working order. The original supplying dealer tax disc holder remains in situ on the front screen. The 1275cc multi-point injection engine is strong and pulls impeccably and the gear synchros are all in good order with no crunches upon changes.
The Mini is sold newly serviced and MOT'd until October 2025 and also benefits from a recent new radiator and exhaust. Supplied with the Mini is a history file dating back to the point of first registration including the original stamped service book and a complete MOT history record.
