For us, the 1990s – early 2000s represented a real sweet spot for motoring. Big leaps had been made in build quality, running gear, spec and tech; improving reliability, comfort and performance. Analogue switches and button infested interiors were still in full swing, chokes and carbs were out and injection was in. Cars looked cool and drove better than ever before.
Epitomising this era was the Honda NSX, released in 1990 and continuing its production all the way through to 2005. It is an absoluter cracker of a car to come out of the 90s. We’re big fans of Honda sports cars – it doesn’t matter what the model they know how to make a good car. Their reliability is second to none and ergonomically they're in a league of their own.
With ambitions to tap into the motorsport - Honda set out to build an out-and-out supercar, and needed a famous F1 name to fly the flag. The NSX was the car, and Ayrton Senna was the celebrity endorsement (who also helped fine tune the car's handling).
It's significantly easier to drive and more usable than many other performance cars of the period and the fact that supercars today are daily-drivable was heavily influenced by the NSX.
Featuring a 3. 0L V6 rear mid-engine producing 274bhp sent to the rear-wheels. This one has the automatic transmission so its great for cruising.
