Description
Here is a lovely example of the Wolverhampton built flat-tank AJS 350cc sporting sidevalve model. This bike starts easily , sounds fantastic and rides really well. Excellent gears and clutch. Decent brakes (for period). Handles well. Good oil pump, both hand operated and the Pilgrim pump are working well.
Frame , engine & gearbox all have original serial numbers, the brass plaques are still intact on the engine & gearbox.
Bike is registered as a historic vehicle, therefore free road tax and MOT exempt.
No silencer fitted but doesn't sound too loud even without. The leather toolboxes are not in brilliant condition, these were missing when I acquired the bike and were an old pair I had spare. They are just loosely fitted.
All in all a very sound example of one of the best vintage flat-tankers. Surprisingly good performance from a sidevalve, sounds and looks great too.
Don't miss this fine 100 year old AJS
A remarkable amount of history for only £6250.
