This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2024 - Cars on Saturday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. The Recreation Collection was assembled by a gentleman, now deceased, who had a passion for cars, owning at one stage some 38 vehicles. A particular enthusiasm of his was for replicas of the rarest and therefore most expensive examples. Judging by the receipts on file and the high prices paid in period, he could’ve bought at least one real example for the price he paid for the others! These are special cars and worthy of serious consideration, offered, tantalisingly as they are without Reserve.
A rarely seen convertible version of the 250 SWB, based on a 2002 BMW Z3 and professionally converted by Nubody Automative from a bespoke kit. Successfully registered with the DVLA in 2017 as a Tribute Kalifornia ZR74, as evidenced by the detailed application form submitted by Nubody and the invoices from Tribute Automotive for the parts. Historic receipts, and a further bill from 2019 show additional expenditure for accessories and other works.
Presented to auction with historic MOT certificates, the most recent of which is valid until September 2025 conducted at 125, 165 miles. Offered without Reserve, this fabulous car is worthy of close inspection.
