Description
This unique 512 BB is available for the first time in 47 years having been delivered new to its then 33 year old owner by Maranello Concessionaires Ltd (MCL) on 1st August 1977 by MCL technician Vince Mezullo, who had carried out the pre delivery inspection(PDI) and who has exclusively maintained the car since both at Maranello Concessionaires and when he went out to work for himself.
Having bought the car and perhaps inspired by the factory 512 BB LM’s. The owner wanted something even more exclusive and commissioned Maranello Concessionaires to re style the body in aluminium to accommodate the 9” front wheels and 11” rear Ferrari wheels, whilst Vince-working at MCL-, removed the air filter housings and fitted “trumpets” to the carburettors which could now be viewed through Perspex covers in the rear bonnet “clip”. A racing fuel filler car was specified and were three vertical vents in the rear wings to assist with engine cooling. A bespoke sports exhaust was made with just two oval outlets rather than the standard four pipe. Full harness seatbelts for driver and passenger were also fitted.
Vince has continued to maintain the car which has included replacing the sodium filled exhaust valves, as well as routine maintenance, therefore Vince can warrant the 5, 000 miles , yes 5, 000 miles.
