Mercedes manufactured only 2, 677 600's and only 273 in right hand drive. At Cardock Classics we specialise in restoring these very unique and special cars. This 600 has undergone a full restoration to include bare metal re-spray, full engine rebuild, full interior fit, all new rubber seals and re-chroming throughout. The air suspension has been fully refurbished and the car performs excellently in this regard. The sunroof is a relatively rare addition to a 600 and we estimate there was less than 100 RHD cars with a sunroof.
Typically people who understand 600's become fascinated by their mechanical depth and the imagination of the engineers who designed it. By way of highlighting some of the special features, the 600 has a hydraulic system which operates the windows, seat position, boot opening and closing at the touch of a button, automatically activated fresh air vents, sunroof and a rear seat which reclines. The car rides on an air suspension to provide unrivalled comfort. The interior fan motor is located in the boot so as there is no chance of the VIP's in the car being disturbed by the noise of a motor. Internal heating and aircon is controlled by automatic climate control. There is a drinks cabinet to keep champagne cool and of course an additional glass deflector to keep the wind off your hair should you choose to lower the window. The two tone horn is supported by a 2 foot long trumpet horn hidden inside the front wing which will give anyone a fright. The list goes on but all in all they are magical and this one is a beautifully restored example.
