Description
This Transporter began as a 150PS Highline Kombi model with a DSG automatic gearbox and has since undergone an extensive 4-berth camper conversion by Jack’s Shack. The craftsmanship of this conversion truly must be experienced in person to fully appreciate its quality.
Starting with the conversion specifications, all seating including the rear rock ‘n’ roll bed and front captain swivel chairs have been reupholstered in cream leather with cream stitching, featuring the Jack’s Shack logo embroidered on the headrests. The bespoke cabinets are finished in warm white, complemented by a light wooden worktop. The flooring is crafted from light wood with matching wood used for the headlining/ upper bed, finished off with a soft cream carpet headliner. These thoughtfully selected materials, together with the custom furniture design, contribute to a bright neutral and spacious camper interior.
The furnishings include ample storage cupboards, an integrated refrigerator, two induction hobs, and a hot and cold water tap with a sink. For lighting it features LED strips incorporated into the underside of the upper cupboards, multicoloured LED vertical lights that illuminate the pop-top canopy, and a reading lamp integrated into the roof for those sleeping above. At the rear, two Alpine speakers are installed, complemented by a Bluetooth amplifier that allows for mobile phone connectivity, as well as a plug-in shower head thats assessable when opening the tailgate.
The front cabin is equipped with the standard T6. 1 cockpit technology, including adaptive cruise control, a reversing camera, App Connect (Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto), and air conditioning. Additionally, positioned above the driver’s seat is the control unit for the Eberspacher diesel heater, ensuring warmth within the camper van during colder seasons.
All of the electrical appliances are powered by a Clayton LPS 2 power system, a powerful and compact unit that means you can go about your trips over a lengthly period without having to use the mains hook-up. The system has the ability to jumpstart the vehicle in the event of the vehicles battery running out of power. Charging is available via the alternator, the solar panel located on the pop-top roof and through the mains hook-up integrated into front grill Volkswagen badge. All of the appliances are controlled via a digital control unit located above the sink. This camper van operates without gas and is designed for off-grid use, eliminating the need for gas bottles or hookups during travel.
Turning to the exterior, which has undergone a series of subtle enhancements. All plastic components have been resprayed in gloss black to complete a comprehensive gloss black styling package. The front bumper is fitted with a Leighton Pro-Line front splitter, colour-matched to the factory Pure Grey paintwork. The vehicle’s suspension has been lowered with the addition of lowering springs, enhancing its stance while sitting on 20-inch gloss black Navis wheels. Additionally, satin black side bars have been installed, a Fiamma F45S awning with integrated LED lighting accessed by the digital control panel, and privacy glass has been applied to all rear and side windows.
