Introduced by Norton in 1923, the 18 was their 1st overhead-valve production engine
It utilised their 490cc single and was known for its performance and reliability
This 1929 example was the first model to be fitted with a "saddle tank" replacing the previous "flat tank"
Restored in recent years to a high standard
Has formed part of a private collection in recent time
Believed to be running and riding well
We suggest that an element of recommissioning may be required to return the bike to full road use
