Launched in 2003, the Terblanche-designed 999 was brought in to replace the 916/ 996/ 998 series of bikes
With a number of different models available, the 999R was the high-spec, high-tune 'homologation special' produced to race in the WSC
A bigger bore and shorter stroke offered higher rpm and a bit more power. The bike was also equipped with all carbon fibre fairings, Marchesini lightweight wheels and Ohlins suspension.
The 999R saw great success in competition winning the WSC for 3 out of the 4 years it was produced
This bike is number #262 of a limited run, is in immaculate running condition and has covered 6, 631 miles
