A COVID purchase the Burnt Grey P5B we have here was a super example in its' own right, and yet the previous owner really wanted something with the style of the P5B but with modern road manners
So after the purchase ( £ 25. 000 to buy her by the way, she was that good as a basis for this plan of his ) his team embarked on this task
Uprated High Torque 4. 6 litre V8 engine, fully balanced and ported fed by a pair of ported SU carburettors
Uprated fuel pump
Fully mapped ingnition
High capacity aluminium radiator with two 300w cooling fans
Uprated shock absorbers, anti-roll bars & slightly lowered & stiffer springs too
Rebuild axle (we did this)
All wheel disc brakes - uprated
Alloy wheels in the style of the original Rostyle wheels
205 / 60 R15 tyres
Modern stereo but looking old fashioned
New speakers - speakers to the footwells & rear parcel shelf
Over £ 50. 000 was spent to ensure the car now has sufficient engine, handling and stopping power for today's traffic
The interior has been refurbished rather than re-trimmed, although the veneers have been re-polished and new carpets have been fitted
She has a superb stance and unless you really knew, you'd be hard pressed to tell her apart from a normal P5B Coupe, until she pulls away
She is super lovely on the road, sits a bit lower than normal, handles delightfully and upon acceleration she really does lift her shirt tails
A very special version of one of the loveliest 4 door coupes ever released
