Just 500 of these were supplied worldwide, with a relative handful allocated to the UK. They were produced and sold across mid to late 2022 in recognition of, and to celebrate 50 Years of BMW’s M Division (Motorsport Division) which had been formed in 1972 and from that point onwards, and to this day and beyond, always associated with the company’s ultimate performance models

These bikes were based upon an ultimate specification M1000RR, the bike that BMW produced for homologation purposes, and finished in a unique Sao Paulo Yellow colour that is shared with some of BMW’s 4 wheel products, but no other motorcycles

Costing £35200, the specification was extensive and key features were as below:-

The motor was the usual homologated M1000RR ‘ShiftCam’ unit developing 212 ps @ 14500rpm, and defined, amongst many other things, from the S1000RR by having twin ring forged pistons, titanium con rods, and a much more ‘open’ ECU for motorsport purposes

.. with a dry weight of just 169 kg, top speed was 190 mph, with a standing 1/ 8 mile covered in just 6. 9 seconds at an astonishing 123 mph

This particular example was registered in September 2022. It was new in the UK by Bahnstormer Motorrad in Maidenhead, whom also completed it’s first service. It has also had a subsequent oil service with Silkolene Pro XP 5w40 fully synthetic oil and o. e BMW filter. Supplied with a factory 3 year warranty, this will run until September 2025, at which point it’s first MOT will become due. Current mileage is 1700 miles

The original owners’ manual/ service book, owners’ pack and document bag are present, as is a clear HPI report and all documents/ keys

Totally standard and as provided by BMW other than for a J-Tech tail tidy with 8×6 plate, radiator/ oil cooler guards and GB Racing paddock stand bobbins. The original number plate hanger, along with the original 9×7 plate displaying Bahnstormer’s name will be supplied
