We Offer for sale this truly excellent 1968 MGC Roadster for the second time. Previously sold by ourselves in 2018 this is the first time i have got round to an advert; the car selling last time to a long standing customer through the Workshop.
Change of circumstances brings this car to the table again.
Car came to me already bodily restored in 2018. The body had received an extensive rebuild to a very good standard to all areas including being finished to a good standard in Tartan Red to the underside.
We carried out a bare metal repaint to the vehicle including the boot and engine bay in Tartan Red. All external panel work had been replaced including full rear wings, doors , front wings , sills valence etc with some excellent shut lines and details.
An ongoing mechanical overhaul was present for a number of years. The original car was non overdrive but converted in 2018 including a full rebuild and reconditioning of an Overdrive unit.
Most mechanical components have been replaced or overhauled. Brakes Carbs Radiator Wiring Loom… Electric Power Steering was fitted in 2018 prior to extensive European Touring.
The vehicle covered approximately 8000 miles in 2023 all around Europe including the LIege Bastogne Liege road rally.
The vehicle managed between 28 and 32 MPG during this period all recorded in an itemised log book.
The car received a complete internal retrim in July 2021 in Matador red. The original trim was black with red piping but a refresh was required. Red with red piping to both front seats, door panels , liner panels and a moulded top quality carpet set with under floor sound deadening completed the picture. I personally feel the colour combination is superb much to my initial reservations.
The car comes with full weather equipment. A pack away hood with refurbished frame and hood bag a full and half tonneau all new. The car also has a Factory hardtop finished in Tartan Red
Overhaul an excellent car. Well sorted ready for any local or long distance use. Car requires nothing but enjoyment
