Description
Offered for sale is this beautiful and rarely available MGB in GT sports specification.
This example is a later 1978 model presented in Old English White with a fantastic service and maintenance history that would make a superb addition to any rugged classic vehicle collection.
94k miles showing on the clock, equating to an average of just around 2k per year!
This particular example features the robust 1800cc petrol engine, 4-speed manual gearbox and period of its time overdrive and adjustable choke. All of course in working order.
The car was subject to a replacement fuel pump, engine oil & filter service, spark plugs, rotor arm, lower arm bushes, fan switch, steering rack, overdrive unit, ignition system & thermostat all within the last few hundred miles.
The bodywork is in honest, unrestored condition and has that quintessential old patina that you would expect of a small GT vehicle from the 70’s. It does have the usual signs of rust along the sills and in various other common areas therefore the car will be sold as an ongoing project!
Paperwork:
MOT exempt.
TAX exempt.
Large folder of previous MOT records.
Original owners manuals & booklets.
Supplied with original keys.
Plethora of invoices for services & repairs.
Additional Spec:
Minilite style alloy wheels
Stainless steel exhaust system
Factory Webasto sunroof
LED reversing lights
Old English White paint
Full black leather interior
Montrose steering wheel
Unigrip tyres all round with lots of tread.
This is a rather splendid thing that would be good fun to use all year round. Whether that be trundling through the streets of London or blasting round the Brian isles country side. I’m sure it will put a smile on your face wherever it takes you.
Sold as an ongoing running project Although it does drive really nicely. Technically wouldn’t pass an MOT due to horn not working and probably a few other bits and bobs required. It’s all part of classic car ownership fun ;)
