Description
Lancia Aprilia Serie 1 Tipo 239 Trasformabile, from the Marc de Bruin collection, one of only 200 built. Designed and built by Pininfarina under the complete control of Vincenzo Lancia, the close collaboration between the two heads of the company resulted in a particularly beautiful and successful car.
Restored in the 1990s, one appreciates the solidity of the whole, the efficient mechanics equipped with Lancia's first V4 engine, the original and attractive Metron dials, the beautiful paintwork and the elegant interior, a peculiarity of the Lancia house. The fascinating history of the vehicle is fully in our possession, we summarise it briefly here: First registered in 1939, it crossed the Italian borders and went to Munich in 1947, temporarily transferred to Denmark by the same owner, after various vicissitudes including being sold to the son of the artist Borge Bich and paid for with three paintings by Jacobsen, the Aprilia returned to Italy and resumed its correct two-tone colour scheme according to factory specifications.
Available for viewing and testing at our premises by appointment.
