With the Mustang's first major updates released in 1967, Ford took over production and design of the Shelby variants. The 1967 models remained largely identical to the standard cars, while 1968 brought a variety of special Shelby-exclusive styling updates including taillamps sourced from the 1965 Thunderbird. Ford's design team ensured the car was as comfortable as it was powerful, so air conditioning, power steering & brakes, and an AM/ FM radio were offered for those looking for more of a grand tourer than a hardcore race car.

The superlative 1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible on offer here is presented in Candy Apple Red over a Black interior with a White power soft top. Documented by both the Shelby American Automobile Club registry and a Deluxe Marti Report, this exceptional Shelby came equipped from the factory with the visibility group, extra cooling package, interior décor group, tilt-away steering wheel, power steering & disc brakes, and a heavy-duty battery. Upon its completion in January 1968, the car was shipped to Maryland for sale via Schmidt Ford Sales, Inc. of Baltimore.

This exquisite motorcar was just released from a world-class collection where it has been exhaustively maintained and is among one of the nicest examples found on the market today. I personally believe the investment potential of this iconic American classic will grow beyond your imagination and is offered to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who desires to own one of the very best at an investment price!
