1958 AC Aceca Out of a Large European Collection
Just out of a large European collection and still currently located in Europe.
This rare 1958 AC Aceca is an exciting find just out of a large European collection. The ideal original car to restore that's in untouched barn-find condition. Black with black interior. The car has been sitting off the road for several decades and is not currently running. It is now ready for a straightforward restoration. It comes complete and intact. As a hardtop version of the AC Ace, the fastback-styled Aceca Coupe debuted at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1954. The Aceca's hatchback body was constructed in hand-formed aluminum over a tubular steel framework, while the tubular chassis was more substantially built than the Ace's. The result was a well-engineered, light in weight and extremely pretty GT car in the best AC tradition. The combination of a fine-handling chassis and a power-to-weight ratio helped the Ace version to numerous successes in production sports car racing, arguably its finest achievement being a 1st-in-class and 7th overall finish at Le Mans in 1959.
